4. Subscription and Payment

• You may cancel at any time; no refunds for partial periods
• Starter plan trials automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless canceled

4.2 Desktop Licenses

• Licenses are sold on an annual basis
• Each license is tied to specific hardware (machine ID)
• Device limits apply based on license tier
• License transfers require written approval

4.3 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees incurred.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use AEGIS to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Engage in unauthorized access or hacking
• Generate spam, phishing, or fraudulent content
• Harass, abuse, or harm others
• Bypass rate limits or security measures
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

6. Intellectual Property

AEGIS and all related software, documentation, and materials are proprietary and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create using AEGIS. By using the Service, you grant us a license to process, store, and transmit your content solely to provide the Service.

8. Third-Party Services

AEGIS integrates with third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

• OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS
• WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR AI-GENERATED CONTENT OR DECISIONS

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AEGIS AI from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Non-payment of fees
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Extended inactivity

Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Service and may request a data export within 30 days.

14. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
