1. SaaS Subscription Refunds
1.1 Initial Purchase Refund
If you're not satisfied with AEGIS, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial subscription purchase. This applies to:
- First-time monthly subscriptions
- First-time annual subscriptions
- Upgrades from trial to paid plan
1.2 Renewal Refunds
Subscription renewals are generally non-refundable. However, we may issue a prorated refund at our discretion if:
- You cancel within 48 hours of an unexpected renewal
- There was a billing error or technical issue
- You experienced significant service disruption
1.3 Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your subscription at any time:
- Cancellation stops future renewals and normally takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- You retain access until the end of the paid period unless you request immediate termination
- No refunds for partial months or unused time (except within the 14-day money-back window for initial purchases)
- You can reactivate your subscription at any time by starting a new plan
2. Desktop License Refunds
2.1 Initial Purchase Refund
Desktop licenses are eligible for a full refund within 14 days of purchase if:
- The software does not work as advertised
- You experience technical issues that cannot be resolved
- You're not satisfied for any reason
2.2 Annual Renewal Refunds
License renewals are non-refundable except in cases of:
- Accidental renewal (within 48 hours)
- Billing errors
- Major software defects that cannot be fixed
2.3 License Transfers
License transfers to new hardware are allowed within your device limit. Transfers to other users require written approval and may incur a transfer fee.

4. Refund Process
4.1 How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:

- Include your order number or subscription ID
- Briefly explain the reason for your refund request
- We'll respond within 1-2 business days
4.2 Refund Timeline
- Refund requests are processed within 3-5 business days
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method
- It may take 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account
4.3 What Happens After Refund
Once a refund is issued:
- Your access to AEGIS will be immediately terminated
- You may export your data before requesting a refund
- Your account will be deactivated
- You may create a new account in the future
5. Third-Party Usage & Non-Refundable Items
Some features of AEGIS rely on third-party AI and infrastructure providers (for example OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Twilio, and others).
Refunds apply only to AEGIS subscription and license fees. We do not refund or reimburse:
- Third-party API usage charges (including LLM, image, audio, or other metered APIs)
- Any costs billed directly by those providers under your own account and API keys
- Custom development or consulting services
- Training or onboarding sessions
- Add-on services purchased separately
6. Chargebacks
If you file a chargeback or payment dispute:
- Your account will be immediately suspended
- We will provide evidence to your payment provider
- Fraudulent chargebacks may result in permanent ban
- Please contact us first to resolve any billing issues
7. Service Credits
In cases where a refund is not applicable, we may offer service credits:
- Extended subscription time
- Upgrade to a higher tier
- Additional features or resources
8. Exceptions and Special Cases
